Thomas V. Masko Sr.

Thomas V. Masko Sr. 61, of Union, NJ passed away on Friday June 29, 2018 at home.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union on Tuesday at 8:30 am.

The Divine Liturgy will take place at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church in Newark,NJ at 10 am

Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.

Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

Born in Newark, he lived in Elizabeth, then Lakewood, before moving to Union 27 years ago.

He was a self employed Accountant in his own business known as TJB Associates in Union for 20 years,

He also was employed as a paraprofessional at Washington Elementary School in Union.

A dedicated coach for the Union Little League for many years, he also served as past President and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church in Newark,

and was an avid NY Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan, and also loved to play golf, and go out to dinner.

One of his favorite places to vacation in  was Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.

Tom was married to his beloved wife Barbara L. (nee Celozzi) Masko, for 28 years,

and is the loving father of Jennifer Paul and her husband David, and Thomas V. Masko Jr.

He was predeceased by his parents Elsie (nee Kolibas) and Vincent Masko.

He is also survived by his devoted sister Carol Irwin and her husband Paul,

and is the brother in law  of Mary Frances and Gerry DiNardo.

He also is survived by his 3 cherished grandchildren Amanda , Amy, and Michael,

and is the uncle of Chrissy, Scott and his wife Keri, Paulie and his fiance Taylor, and Steven,

and also is the great uncle of Connor and Emma .

In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory
