Thomas D. Pizzuto

Thomas D. Pizzuto, 78 of Holmdel passed away on January 6, 2025.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Thomas at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday January 10 from 3-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 4 PM. Cremation will be held privately. Thomas will then be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery with his dear wife.

Born in Jersey City, Thomas was a longtime resident until moving to Springfield. He later resided in Middletown and finally in Holmdel since last year. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Thomas proudly served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1970. Thomas worked his way up the ranks at the Turnpike Authority, starting as a toll collector, serving throughout the maintenance department, and finishing his career as a supervisor prior to retiring. An avid golfer, he most treasured time spent with his family and friends.

Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Judith (nee Russo) Pizzuto; loving father of Thomas D. Pizzuto, Jr. and Jennifer L. Schmidt and her husband James. He was the dear grandfather of Andrew, Christopher and Veronica Rose, step-grandfather of Alex and James, Jr., and the cherished brother of Carmen Pizzuto and his wife Gerri.
