Timothy H. Hague, Jr., 64 of Springfield, formerly of Union passed away on March 23, 2024.
Our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend was born on January 18, 1960, in the Ironbound section of Newark, Tim dedicated over 30 years to serving his community as a police officer with the Newark Police Department, retiring as a lieutenant in 2014. He later served as the Investors Bank VP of Security until 2023.
Tim's infectious laughter, kind heart, and zest for life touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His love for oldies music, disco, and sports was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. He cherished the memories made during his travels to Aruba, Portugal, Ireland, and down the shore. His backyard bar and tailgates were testaments to his fun-loving nature. An avid fan of the NY Giants, Mets, and NJ Devils, Tim often gathered with friends and loved ones at his favorite restaurants, Taste of Portugal and Stage House.
He is survived by his beloved wife Aldina (nee Vaz) Hague; adoring children Timothy Hague and his wife Jaime and Ashley Hague and her fiancé Sean Norton; siblings Debra Neto, Diane Hague, Kathleen Vidal; mother-in-law Dominguez Vaz; brothers-in-law Joseph Vaz and Antonio Neto; sister-in-law Gail; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Timothy Sr, mother Anna Mae, brother-in-law Jack, father-in-law Antonio, and nephew Christoper.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday March 26 at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A mass in honor of Timothy's life will take place at St. Helen Church in Westfield on March 27 at 10:00 AM followed by entombment at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Timothy H. Hague will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved by many.
