Trajelar Monescar, 83 of Union passed away on April 13, 2014.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Saturday April 26 at 8:30 AM. Funeral mass is at Holy Spirit and Our Lady Help Christian Church in East Orange at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation is on Friday from 5-9 PM.

Mrs. Monescar was the only child of Mrs. Ociani Alcin, and daughter of Boucard Monescar who had 15 other children; 10 girls and 5 boys.

She grew up in a small town called Back d'ackin,where she met the father of her children Saul St. Louis, with whom she had 6 children: Antiola Veus, Pastor luc St Louis, Jerome St Louis, Marie Therese St Louis, Cina St Louis and the late Ociani St Louis.

She was the loving grandmother of Edeline Dieujuste, Edna Altenor, Wadson Altenor, Mideline Altenor, Elder Erisnor, Rony Vertus, Douveline St Louis, Herve Pierre, Lully St Louis, Evangeline St Louis, Ludy St Louis, Timothe St Louis, Carine St Louis, Billy St Louis, Magdana Ceneus and Jeffrey Barthelemy. She was the beloved great-grandmother of Jeremiah Dieujuste, James Dieujuste, Desire Altenor, Dion Altenor and Chanelle Altenor.

Mrs. Monescar was a very strong and beautiful woman. She raised her kids with pride by herself; and made great sacrifices to educate her children, including sending each of them to study in Paris. She also raised her grandchildren and helped every unmarried woman in town raise her kids with dignity.
