Valentina Buonerba

Valentina Buonerba of Garwood formerly of the Ironbound Section of Newark died on Friday October 26th, 2012 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, N.J. on Wednesday at 10 AM. Visitation for Family is from 8:30 – 10 AM on Wednesday. The funeral mass for Relatives and friends will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 259 Oliver St. Newark, (Ironbound) at 10:30 AM Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington.

Born in Newark she lived in the Ironbound section of Newark for many years, and then in Livingston and Clark, before moving to Garwood 4 years ago. She was a receptionist for the International Longshoremen’s Association Medical Clinic in Newark for many years.

Valentina was the devoted daughter of the late Lillian (nee La Falce) and Alphonse Buonerba. She was the loving sister of Rose Buonerba, and the beloved Godmother of Jo Ann Leonardis-Jamiolkowski and her husband Thomas, the beloved cousin of Stephen Leonardis and his wife Mary, Kristen Bucchignano and her husband Steven, John Leonardis,

Frances Ann Cicalese, and many loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the American Heart Association 1 Taylor Drive Wayne, N.J. 07470 in her memory.
