Vincenza Sutera

Vincenza Sutera (nee Scavuzzo), 84, of Union, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Thursday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass will be offered  at St. James Church in Springfield at 10 am. Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation is on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm.

Born in Gibellina, Sicily, Vincenza had lived in Newark before moving to Union 14 years ago.

She was the wife of the late Frank Sutera and mother of Claudio and his wife Laura, Vincent and his wife Liz, Mattia Stapleton and her late husband Thomas, Antoniette Almeida and her husband Jorge. She is the sister of Paul, Sal, and the late Joseph Scavuzzo and the grandmother of Jorge, Jennifer, Lisa, Jeanette, Jessica, Vincent, Craig, and C.J. Great grandmother of Frankie, Julian, Veda, Fiona, and Julia.
