Virginia D’Amato

Virginia D’Amato (nee Pereles) 84, of East Hanover, died on Monday April 1 ^st , 2013 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:30 am. The funeral mass is in St. Philomena Church in Livingston at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Newark. Visitation is Friday from 4-8 PM.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico she lived Newark and Orange before moving to East Hanover 20 years ago.

Virginia was married to her husband Ralph for 64 years, and was the mother of Gwen Trezza and her husband Anthony, and Bruce D’Amato and his wife Linda. She was the sister of the late John Pereles, Anna Acosta, Olivia Quinones, and Raffaella Rodriguez. She was also the grandmother of Gwen and Joe Gencarelli, Robyn Trezza, Linda, and Bruce D’Amato. And Great Grandmother of Gabriella Faith.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the Family Reach Foundation 2001 US Route # 46 Suite # 310 Parsippany, N.J. 07054 in her memory.
