Virginia Genevieve Kaczor

Virginia Genevieve Kaczor,  (nee Marcinek) age 101, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.

Virginia was born on January 9, 1916 in Cadiz, Ohio, to Frank and Sophie Marcinek.

The family moved to Newark, New Jersey when Virginia was a child and operated a grocery store on Ferry Street. While raising her family, Virginia and her sisters spent many years helping her parents manage the store.

Virginia then began a career working for RCA in Harrison, New Jersey and moved to Menlo Park, New Jersey, where she resided for over 60 years.

Virginia was the loving mother of Judy Policastro (Joseph) and Virginia Green. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Chester and her sisters, Mary, Sophie, Anna and Helen. Virginia is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews from the Marcinek and Kaczor families.

Virginia enjoyed spending afternoons on her patio and tending to her roses and garden. Above all, Virginia was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her daughters and their children.

Family and friends will always remember her smile, her attention to detail, her fashionable style and her clip-on earrings.

The funeral will be on  Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 9 am

in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union, N.J 07083.

The funeral mass will be in  St. James Church,

45 South Springfield Avenue

Springfield, New Jersey, 07081

at 10:30 am.

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the funeral Home.
