Vito Saggese, age 79, passed away at Overlook Medical Center on November 16th 2014.

The  Funeral is  from  the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ  on Thursday at 8 am. Funeral mass will be  at St. James RC Church, Springfield, NJ at 9:30 am. Interment will be Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. For directions or to send condolences visit galantefh.com.

Vito was born in San Gregorio Magno Italy then lived in Irvington before moving to Springfield for 31 years.  He was a welder at Century Conveyor Inc. Edison for 10 years retiring 13 years ago. He also played accordion at parties and restaurants around Essex and Union counties for many years.

He was the husband of Maria (nee De Primio) and the father of Luciano Saggese and his wife Angela and Christina Nobrega and her husband Michael.  He was also the brother of Rosa Paglia & Angela Saggese. He was the Grandfather of Michelle, Michael, Alexa, Leah, & Jessica.
