Warren L. Henderson, Sr., 86 of Union passed away on March 25, 2013.
The Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday at 8 AM. Funeral mass is at St. James Church in Springfield at 9:15 AM. Entombment is at Hollywood Cemetery in Union. Visitation is on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Warren was a lifelong Union resident and a firefighter in Union for over 30 years. He served his country in the Navy in World War II. Active in town, Warren was a past president of the Battle Hill Civic Association, Past president of the Boys and Girls Club, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and an usher at St. James Church in Springfield. He also served on various township committees throughout the years, earning an honorary “Mayor” badge.
Warren was the husband of the late Marie (nee Bardsley). Father of Warren Henderson, Jr. and his wife Ella, Karen Rose and her husband Rodney, Valerie Henderson and Patty Henderson. He is the grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 6.
