William F. Jones

William "Bill" F. Jones, 82, of Cape Coral passed away Tuesday March 26, 2013 at Lee Memorials Cape Coral Hospital. Bill was born in Elizabeth, NJ June 26, 1930 to Frank and Eva Jones. After graduating High School he joined the US Navy where he served honorably. He married Dolores Principe in 1951 in Union, NJ. He lived in Union for many years where he served on the Union Fire Department. He retired as Captain in 1990 after 31 years of service. Bill moved to Cape Coral in 1991. He was a member of VFW Post # 8463, Elks Lodge # 2596, American Legion Post # 90 all in Cape Coral and he was a 4th Degree Knight with the K.O.C. in Union, NJ. Bill will be remembered as an outstanding carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dolores  (nee Principe) of Cape Coral, one daughter Vivian (Bob) Samuels of Green Brook, NJ, one son Bill (Marjorie) Jones, Jr. of Clinton, NJ, one brother David (Toni) Jones of Linden, NJ, four grandchildren; Ryan (Maryann) Samuels, Kelly (Brian) Ford, Kristen and Daniel Jones, and two great grandchildren; Charlie Ford and Noah Samuels.

Funeral will be  from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday April 4, 2013 @ 8 AM The funeral mass is at St. Michael Church 1212 Kelly St. at Vauxhall  Road in Union  @ 9:15 AM.  Interment will follow  in Rosedale Memorial Park in Linden.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
