Marie Cortese, 89 (nee Alu) of Spring Lake NJ formally of West Caldwell NJ passed away on March 2, 2020.

Funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Friday at 9:30 AM.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at  St. Aloysius Church in Caldwell at 10:30 AM.

Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum.

Visitation is on Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Born in Irvington NJ, Marie lived in West Caldwell NJ for over 40 years and recently lived in Spring Lake NJ.

Marie was the wife of the late Joseph Cortese.

Beloved mother of Anthony and his wife Colleen, Sarina and husband James Caughy and Anngel Cortese.

Sister of Antoinette Weber, Joseph Alu and the late Thomas Alu.

Loving Grandmother of Joseph Cortese and his fiancee Alessandra Ottiano, Sarah Caughy, Michelle and husband Michael Delaney and the late James Caughy Jr.
